Default New build Info and Sponsors added 2000+ HP Build

For the 2011 Season I am pleased to announce that we will be adding 2 new sponsors to the car.

ERLPerformance.com will be the new Engine Sponsor and this year I will be running a 427CI ERL Superdeck Block instead of the LSX Block I have been running. This new block will save 125lbs off my old setup and is being setup to support 2200rwhp!

Topping this new bottom end will be AllPro's Heads filled with Jessel Rockers and handling our new Solid roller setup.

I am going to be planting the power from all these new parts with the same TH400 Transmission and C6Z Rear end from RPMTransmissions that we used last year.

We will be using the best axles and drive shaft you can get from the drive shaft shop

and of corse the Turbo Kit that started it all built and tuned by IPSMotorsports.net!

As many of you may already know the cage is now done and will be painted this weekend. Our plan is to begin reassembly next week and if everything goes as planned we will be at the first race of the NMCA and LSX Series in Bradenton Florida.

We are still working on the final details for the new turbo, but we will be replacing last years 91mm turbo with a 106mm or larger billit bb turbo.

Stay tuned as we reassemble the car and I will try to keep updated with pictures and information as available.

Also stay tuned to carlyleracing.com for updated information as well.

My goals this year are

1) be competitive in the Outlaw Dragradial class of the LSX Series
2) Beat the all car IRS Record
3) ET and MPH goals 7.49 and 194mph

Looks like a solid plan but the way people are talking...you better step it up another 1/2 second to meet goal #1 if #3 is your ET goal

whats your anticipated raceweight?

My race weight is going to be 3400-3450 this year. I am working on the weight right now. I don't think I will be the fastest in the class for sure. If anything, I expect to be the underdog again this year; however, I believe if I can get into the mid 7's I will be "competitive"

I know Tom Kemp and the guys at LMR are already considerably faster than that and from the sounds of the Ohio Boy's builds, they are going to be really fast this year too.

I'd imagine that this year shows us the first 6 second pass in the LSX series outlaw drag radial cars and I have no illusions that I will be that fast this year, but you have to get the car down the track multiple times to win.

This will be my first year of really trying to be competitve with the big boys, and we have the powerplant to turn up the boost past 21psi this year. I am hoping that if we get things figured out quick enough, that we can poor on the boost and go for much more than my preliminary goals.

You have to walk before you can run...

Very nice setup you got.
I was going this route 6 years ago, then my chassis shop at the time screwed me over by taking almost 3 years to do the 25.5 . Back then a low 8 was the best ET. Getting crazy now on the ET's.

My Cage took just over a month to do. They told me it would be done by the end of January and I picked it up last week (last week of Jan) so I was pleased. I couldn't have been happier with the results of my cage. Thier quality of work is second to none.

When you say "sponsor", what does that mean exactly? Is that discounted parts or free parts?

Really one of my favorite cars at the shootout. Really hope to see it beat the IRS record.

I call sponsor anyone that gets me something I need for less than I have to pay on my own. Most of the time it is discounted parts and discounted or free labor.

I don't think things become totally free until you reach certian levels. In some cases I have recieved 1 part free if I purchased another part and so on.

Remember, nothing in this world is truely "FREE"
