ProCharger Front Mount Intercooler for 98-02 F Body
#41
I'll see if I can get a maf delete option from ProCharger. We had it at the old shop with the EPP front mount, and I think half of the front mounts were sold that way. Thanks! Bob

Bob,
How effective do you think this intercooler would be if I didn't remove the front license plate panel? Did you have any tricks to help cooling for customers who used the old EPP FMIC that didn't want to remove the plate panel? I would like to use this set up because it looks cleaner under the good than the plenum and hoses but I am worried that I would be hurting performance by not opening up the bumper.

The higher the boost level, the more heat that is being created. If the car in question has a stock bottom end and the car is seeing 7 to 8 psi of boost, I doubt the front mount would make a difference over the twin 4.5 inch intercoolers. The only situation where I think this may change would be if you were doing back to back runs at a dragstrip, then the larger front mount would keep the inlet air temps cooler. If you planning on running more than 12 psi then I feel the front mount option is the way to go. Thanks for inquiring, let me know if you have any questions. Bob

We did it with the EPP front mount back at the old EPP shop, and directed airflow up into the intercooler with flaps below the intercooler. Bob

FYI, I was curious, so I clicked on the link and it wants me to enter my password for the ATI dealers account.

Hmm, I'll have to see what I can do to change that. Thanks for the heads up. Bob
