Default TC78 + stock radiator location - doable?

My engine is currently out of the car and has been for two months. I am going to try welding up a turbo hot side that uses a C6 exhaust manifold to keep the A/C. My current non A/C truck mani kit places the turbo a little high and requires a vertical radiator (which I am not necessarily opposed to). Being that the engine has been out so long, its hard for me to gauge how much space there is between the crank pulley and radiator.

I had another kit at one time built around a Master Power T70 that keeps the radiator in the stock location. I sold the MPT70 several months ago and don't remember its size in relation to the TC78 I have (1.15 AR turbine housing). I know they're considered one of the more compact turbos...to a point. I was wondering if anyone had used a TC78 (or turbo of similar size) in a front mount while keeping the radiator in the stock location? Removing the puller fans may also free up a couple extra inches.

Doable? Too big? Placement required too low and oil drainage issues?

Thanks!

The TC78 is actually physically smaller than a MP T70

Ah...that's encouraging. What A/R is your turbine housing? It looks like you did switch to pusher fans though?

What about AC condenser? (I guess the appropriate thread title should have been stock radiator location w/ AC)

i did it with my old car. i used a 1.15ar. get a good set of fans. i used a thin flex-a-lite dual fan. i think it was the FAL240. i mounted them the the condenser so it pushed air through the condensor and radiator. just make sure there is a good seal all the way around the fans including the top and bottom between the condensor and radiator or you will lose you airflow through the radiator.
