Default Anyone used a comp turbo?

Found this place online.
compturbo.com.
They have some sweet stuff including triple ball bearing turbos.

How has tried these and what sponsor sells them?

I like the ct43 8079 ball bearing with billet wheel. Good to 1250hp using a 3.5 dp.

I ran one in my supra previously and loved the **** out of it, and just installed another one on my uncles supra.

And I plan on getting one for my LSx build also.

I bought one for a 6.0 LS2 road race/1 mile shootout FD RX-7 I'm collecting parts for. In a 2700lb car it should work nicely. Mine weighed just over 21lbs and construction looks good. The exhaust housings seem to differ a little in weight for some reason. Let's hope the reliability factor is there....

They are local to my buddy in SoCal and he used them on twin turbo LS2 sandrail stuff with good success. He bought the CT80 also and his weighed 1lb more.....?

Put your pipe down and make a purchase from a reliable sponsor here on tech like FI.com ask Jose or DR turbo.

Says the man with 420 in his avatar? Well at least we know you put yours down long enough to make that comment! I haven't heard of them but if they are a reputable company they should have plenty of people that have results and feedback for an interested customer. I'm all about supporting sponsors on the site but telling someone to "Put your pipe down" for trying to see what all is available in the marketplace is just ignorant.

So since I lurked for a year before making a post means that I know nothing about comp turbos?
Here is a picture of my old 7MGTE setup in my supra.

And here is a picture of the Billet 67 TBB comp turbo I installed last weekend.

And for good measure a couple other local guys running comp turbos that they got through the place I used to work at (a comp turbo distributor).

Maybe my second post is ample for saying I have some experience dealing with comp turbos having sold dozens of them and having ran them on my personal vehicles.

Oh believe me I have and continue to support all the sponsors on tech. About 30k worth in the last 4 years. I bought my last turbo from Jose and my turbo kit from Josh at kytp. Tune from 3 differant sponsors, trans from flt,9 inch from epp and the list goes on including 3 motors.

I just found an interesting product that fits my application perfectly. Also a sponsor could sell these so I'm trying to get some feed back and help everyone.

These are compact turbos with big hp claims that could make alot of our cars go fast, definitly worth looking into.

If you want to spend the money the 8079 billet OIL-LESS turbo is availible now, nothing cooler than not having to run oil lines, would be perfect in rear mount! I beleive it was about $2400 though

BTW having ridden in both of the supras posted above, the 74mm 7M and the 67mm 2jz, they are rediculous. The 2jz uses the TBB 67mm Q-trim with a 1.0 AR divided housing and a spool valve. this thing makes 20psi at 2500rpm with a stock 2jz, its rediculous
