IMO I wouldn't cheap out on the turbo if anything. I've heard nothing but good things about the MPT70 and that's what I'm going to be running.

I've actually heard good things about these eBay units. Two of these on a big block = 1000 rwhp. One drawback is that they are physically huge and weigh close to 40 lbs.

We have used plenty of the gt45 ebay ones, An never had a problem with them, I think we have used about 5 so far on different setups, Have seen 18pounds on a couple with no problems, Just prime them right.

interesting. any more input?

i could get 2 gt45's and run twin turbos. that would end up the price of one MPT70. but its no lag and plus if one was to go down, i still have the other running

that's pretty impressive. I kinda figured they would fly apart.

what size are the GT45s? Im not looking for any crazy amount of boost but a good 5-7psi would be nice to make about 450-500ish HP. Trying to make more of a autobahn hauler, not a 1/4 mile drag queen. but a nice 12 sec run would be nice too
Ive actually went with a T70 ebay turbo with a .84 AR Turbine housing. Just getting a somthing to start with. oil system will be remote as well to keep running lines to a minimum.

Hey grooms, I made about 2 #s in about a half mile run on 231, It sucked so i swapped out to a gt42 i believe was the size, The size of the gt45 ones we use, has a 4 inch inlet, 3 1/2 exhaust vband, t4 exhaust flange, 3 1/4 outlet, i think .96 exhaust cant remember the intake side off hand right this minute

Nice setup. Are those shorty headers or custom?
