Default How much do you pay for YOUR SC pulleys?

The reason I'm asking is because a good friend of mine's father owns a gear company, has since 1948. I've known this family my whole life. The place has just enough business to pay their electric bill and is in danger of going under. If I can get them some business from this side of things, I would like to. (With required approval from here too.)

But anyway.. I'm just seeing how much people NORMALLY pay for their SC pulleys, how much they would LIKE to pay, and how much they are WILLING to pay. Everything that can be made at this local place is 100% custom, hand built and American made. I am going to ask my friend's father for a quote on how much these would be to produce and see if I can get you guys a better price.

I'm not advertising..... if I was I would provide MUCH more info.

What are the typical SC pulleys made from? I know some trick pieces are aluminum, and some are composite, and some are metal. But I'm looking for specifics here so I will have info for pricing when I am at the factory. -Should be this weekend.

Now... On to the money business.

If anyone has a junk pulley, please PM ME!!!

Hmm typically I pick up used pulleys between $30-80 for a average. Really depends on the type and material.

new metco pullies range from $75 - 150 and are made of aluminum. aluminum is easy to machine and very light, and also can be anodized. you need to do your research on all this, but i REALLY think this is a cool idea. i'd also goto svt performance dot com and post there, lots of factory supercharged fords out there.

I know for the sandrail market all the pulleys are custom, if you look at turnkey or cmb all the water pump pulleys have a notch like the power steering pulley so they can be removed, what I would like to see if someone would sell a hub kit so you could run a bolt on water pump pulley like the edelbrock.

I deal with roots chargers so the pulley system is a bit different. Centri guys could learn a thing or two from it

These use a common hub and quick change pulley rings that bolt to it

Generally the first pulley ring with hub is $100-120 and the other rings are $40-60

The ProCharger GTO kits benefit from a one inch larger crank pulley, it needs to mate up to the ATI Performance Products 918853 balancer. We use to sell a larger crank pulley at thew old shop for this application, it was a decent seller.

The ProCharger LS1 F Body 6 rib kits come with a very small 6.0" crank pulley that bolts up to the stock balancer, a two inch larger crank pulley option would be a good seller. It would have to include the three pins that the ProCharger pulley has that fit into the factory balancer slots.

FYI: I sell the ProCharger head unit blower pulleys for $85.00 each. Bob

Vortech's Cog-drive pulleys typically sell for about $100 (size is not a significant factor)

What would make a BIG difference is if they built 6-8 rib blower pullies with a sprag option to allow them to free-spin when the engine drops RPM during shifting.

similar to this, but in a narrower housing for guys that don't need giant belts:
