Default opinions needed on my build

OK so I'm wanting some opinions on my build and to see if you guys have any suggestions
Motor will consist of ls1 with mahle -16cc dish pistons,scat I beams,stock crank,stock 241 heads,01 cam and 98 intake.undecided on valvesprings ,suggestions?
EBay Turbo headers,p trim t76 w .81ar.tial 38mm gate and rps 50mm bypass.undecided on whether to go air to air or water to air.leaning towards a water to air with a heat exchanger& water meth.thoughts?
Fuel system will be #60 injectors with twin intank pumps and a good tune.My goals are stock driveability with good power with out turning a lot of rpm.this is a street car that may see the track
once a year.its a m6 with a still living ten bolt. I mainly just drive the car and enjoy it and the occasional roll race. I'm want to
make around 600rwhp.
Any suggestions would be great
thanks joe

If your going into the motor, why not do a cam? The patriot extreme springs seem to do well, theres quite a few guys running them with no problems. For your build I would run a air to air IC...there's really no need for a water setup for those power levels. Your fuel system seems like it should be ok and adding meth never hurts. I didn't see anything about what clutch your running as well? It should be a pretty stout combo....and like you said make sure you have a good tune!

Cool thanks main reasoning for my cam choice is rpm range and driveability. On the intercooler part I'm worried more about heat soak, I'm kinda against cutting my front cover to increase airflow. I don't see why a water to air would be overkill? I figure they are more efficient if set up properly. Will a air to air keep iats down good enhough without cutting holes in the cover?
Thanks joe

Either intercooler will meet your demands its just a matter of preference. I'm sure an a2a could keep your temps at bay especially with meth. But u mentioned an heat exchanger for an a2w...that would require airflow as well. Just a thought. I say a2a with meth for simplicity's sake...

Don't over do your power level, if you don't want to work hard and often, and spend a lot dow...

If this is going to be a street car, stick with an air to air intercooler.

Thanks for the advise. Been looking at a few a2a and narrowed it down to two. Ill probly cut open the front bumper cover and use a black billet grill since I'm trying not to be too obvious
I just don't like that idea
Thanks joe

There you go...don't be afraid to modify that ride! The black grille is the right idea, also you can hit the ic with some black as well...very stealth like then.

Why such a small AR on the turbo? Please rethink the stock cam. You can atleast put a LS6 in there.

Yeah LOL after john h pm'ed me I thought about the Turbo a/r ratios came to mind.I think its gonna spool way to fast. I'd think I'd have full boost at 3000 rpm. I tried to find a ls6 cam used but not too much luck plus I gotta sell my long tubes first. How bad do you guys think that .81 a/r will be. Keep in mind I'm trying to keep the rpms down and that this is a street car. I have a feeling it will be like driving a KB cobra with the a/r size
Thanks joe

I would look at a .96 A/R. Also, I have a LS6 cam I might be willing to part with pretty cheap. I would honestly look at one of the speed inc or other vendors turbo cams. I would hate to see you go through all the trouble of doing the work, and leave A LOT on the table with your cam choice. There are plenty of cams that retain near stock drive ability yet make much more power cause their suited to your build. I HIGHLY suggest you look into a better cam...atleast a LS6 lol. What kind of power goals/ driving do you plan on doing?

Car is a street car and will just go out on the highway for some fun. May see the track one in a blue moon. Not really in to drag racing any more. I just want to enjoy it. As far as power goals I want enough to trap 130 to 135mph when I do go to the track.another thing is i really dont want to spin the motor too hard i want to try and limit the rpm to 6200rpm,which was part of th reasoning on the .81 ar.as for what its gonna take I'm still uncertain. Ls1 stuff is still kinda new to me.I figure 15lbs and a bunch of Meth should get me there. But its hard to say. I have been leaning towards a ls6 cam a little more.main goals are driveability, stealth, and good power.my car usually surprises a lot of people and
I want to keep it that way.plus I must be getting old cause I don't like driving a car with a choppy cam LOL
Thanks joe

thanks
