Breaking in a new build, need some tips.
What is a good break in procedure for a new engine that will see boost? Putting load on the engine as soon as possible seems to be key in seating the rings. I plan on starting the engine and let it get to operating temperature to make sure the thing isn't pissing fluids. If that goes well, driveshaft and torque arm will go on so I can take it for a spin.
Now is the question, how do I put load on the engine through the gears without getting into boost? I have a mail tune to just get it started but don't want to boost the engine until its on the dyno with the tuner.
I want to do this the right way so any tips would be appreciated.
Regarding ring seated, I guess I read too much and this can take time and if not done properly, they won't seat effectively.
