Default Fuel mileage with procharger

Was thinking of putting a procharger system on my 2000 formula/m6. Headers intake and soon cam. Question is what kind of mileage will the car still knock down. Thanks

My MPG fell dramatically because of my Procharger. It could have something to do with me not being able to not stomp it everywhere I go. The sound is so addicting I just do it for fun all the time. Also the way it snaps your head back in to the seat, wonderful! If you can “drive normal” I’m sure you will be fine.

When I had my m6 my mileage was around 18-19 city and 25-26 on the highway. It just depends on your style of driving. If you can limp around and not floor it to hear it and feel it then you will get good mileage but the important thing there is the power is on tap!

I get about 13 to 15 mpg. I have headers and aftermarket cylinder heads with about 7# of boost.

My milage did not change much at all with the p1, excluding when i was hotrodding on it.

On a road trip from d.c to tulsa, ok, 1300 miles, i still averaged out 28mpg in a fullsize pickup with the cruise set at 75.

Hell, I might have even gained a few mpg, but, as soon as i mat it, all of the gain goes away..... but, it makes itself up when the smile on my face gets bigger.

Edit... Just looked at bobs link, damn, I get good mileage in my truck.... Might have something to do with the 4.8....

I know everyone else gets good mileage, a buddy of mine only got like 180 to the tank on her 01 SS with a P1. 60 # injectors, she DD'd it and rarely got on it, was a 6 speed. Still not sure why it was so shitty to this day

It could of been a bad oxygen sensor or a bad tune. Bob

We thought that too, and she had it retuned ~2 years ago and the mileage stayed about the same. I wouldn't think a bad 02 sensor would adversely affect the mileage THAT much now, yeah?

I'll put it this way, there's a reason you have to go from factory 28lb injectors up to 60lb injectors. You're making more power, which requires more fuel.

Considering an inexpensive, fuel sipping daily driver is about one third of the price of a new procharger kit, I wouldn't worry about the fuel mileage.
