Default Best intake for 370?

Hey guys, planning on building a 370 with some slightly worked 317 heads, PT 76, 12 or so PSI. My question is would a traditional manifold like a FAST be better than a Vic Jr/elbow? Will only be spinning to 6200 or so.

I plan on running a Vic Jr, 4150 style TB, and sealed carb hat.. seems to work... Plus the price point is right about the same as buyin a fast, or something similar..

Would either do a Vic Jr/low profile elbow or a FAST, just not sure if the rules for single planes apply with boost

Quite a few people have had FAST manifolds come apart under boost. I'm gonna use my Vic Jr. for my build. Also running a PT76.

From what I remember the FASTs are rated to 20lbs plus, not sure how they would come apart at 12. I can get a good deal on the edelbrock setup. And I'm not running an LS6

I would imagine the FAST would make more power than the Vic but do you really see yourself staying at 12 psi? If you're scared then say you're scared.

I have a 9 inch pecker and a hot *** old lady, but I'm only going to give her half of it and go super slow.

one of the best analogies I have ever heard!! I have seen those new FAST 102 stand up to some pretty high boost levels. My tuner swears by them. However the added insurance of the victor and the looks makes it hard to go against.

honestly a fast is a waste of money on a fi car, if you dont mind a lil clearancing go with vic jr but since you plan on staying under 6200 i say ls6
why do you want to stay under 6200 anyways?

For your setup an ls6 intake would be ideal. Won't see much if any gains on the setup you listed above going to the high dollar FAST or vic w/elbow. Spend that $ elsewhere, I guarantee you'll run into many nickle and dime parts towards the end of the build.

I guess my main question is would the Vic jr hurt me in any way over an LS6, I can get one with an elbow for not much more than an LS6. And because I don't want this to be a high revving all top end motor. I like Joshs (KILLER LS1) setup he has and he's only running 12 psi and pulling to 6200. I'm building this to be fun on the street. If I change my mind ill throw on a PT 88 and a new cam and rev to 6700

the short runners on the vic jr kill low end torque on na cars, but with a boost build the short runners have almost no effect on low end due to the air being crammed in instead of the motor trying pull it in
the vic will flow a little more overall and a lot more up top
as long as your turbo is problems size you should have no problems running one
but if your turbo is laggy it will show its ugly face
