347 for boost?

347 for boost? I want to start collecting parts to build a 347 that will be Procharged. Im more then likely goin to run the stock crank, as far as rods and pistons im not to sure what to run. I'd like to hear some of u guys combos that are proven runners. Car is street driven and sees the track on the weekends every once in a while. As far as Compression im figuring and 9.5-1 area. Boost around 12psi.I want to run it on pump gas W/ meth injection. I would like to keep in somewhat budget minded. Thanks for everyones help
pistons je or wiseco... i got wiseco -11cc dish they are sexy pieces.. (still building)
rods you will here lots of different things about the rods out there im goin to be running eagle rods.. some say they are not good some speak highly of them... compstar rods seem to be REALLY popular and are still fairly priced... FI isnt cheap.. but you can buy used parts and save some coin.. there are some good deals in the classifids

I went with Diamond Pistons w/file fit rings, Lunati Rods, Comp lifters, Comp adj. Timing chain, ARP main studs, GM MLS head gaskets, reconditioned stock crankshaft, LS6 PCV valley cover/PCV set-up, and LS6 oil pump. My compression ratio is 9.6:1. It was built in 2003 and is still chugging along nicely. It has continued to get faster every year!

I def want this motor to hold together im leaning toward compstar rods. For the price and quality you can't beat them. Pistons im goin to have to do some more research yet

Which weisco's did you go with I've been looking at them as well. They look to have a pretty thick ring land. Haven't heard to much on eagle stuff. Also how high do all u guys rev (rpms) these things ?
We used Diamond pistons, Total Seal file to fit rings, and Compstar rods on quite a few builds back at the old shop with very good results. Bob

Diamond -8.66 cc pistons, K1 tech rods, stock crank. MikeP has the same setup as me, but w/ a 4" crank.
Oh, and mine is 10:1 comp and I have been runnign 13# of boost w/ no problem.

My budget 347 was a ls6 block, stock crank, used forged mahle -4cc flat tops and used scat h-beams, AFR 225 heads with LS9 gaskets. It made right about ~800 rwhp for atleast a hundred long pulls on the streets and it did at once make 1142 rwhp. We pulled the running motor out for my new AES 408. I thought the 347 spooled fairly with my GT-88 (which it did) for what it was but this 408...holy **** it works well with my GT-88

I still have the stock 241's on the car right now. If my funds are looking good yet I might look at a set if AFR heads but as of now I'm sticking with the 241 heads.
