Wow these look really cool!! But i wonder what a rebuild would cost. And combined with the faster spooling you may just see a lot more remote mounts running around not worrying about a scavenger pump!

I was talking about these with the guys at CT before I got mine. Rebuilds run around the $300-350 for the oil-less TBB (most likely included the grease repack too). To get just the grease repacked was around $150. Considering how long their projected to last, its really not that bad.

these are starting to seem a little more interesting. Just thinking about the way you could package these and the orientations that they could be mounted in. My mind cant help but wonder the different possibilities.

so wait where can you find these cause im looking to do a rearmount turbo system anyway. An oil-less (or at least a selfcontained oil system or even a water cooler turbo) would be the BEEZNEEZ!! That would elimnate near half of the issues with doign a rear mount setup.

@Josh you should be able to just type "Comp Turbo" in a google search and it will come up. Their site is pretty easy to get around. As far as I know, there are only a hand full of shops that distribute CT so far. Calling them up would probably be your' best bet. They'll make it custom to how you want it.

I have a V mount exhaust and stuff on mine, it pretty much has all the goodies they offer if anyone wants some pics. Its not V8 size but the quality is there regardless. I was Googling where I should tap my water lines from and came across this thread.

the billet 8079 should be pretty close to a PT88, but spool faster by leaps and bounds. The 8079 TBB oil-less setup is unreal, only way to go

BTW if I was doing a rear mount for 650-750whp it would be a billet 7271 TBB oil less setup, its comparable to a TC76 but will make more power and spool faster yet!

It was $1850ish. If you don't want the billet wheel,or ball bearing im sure that would go down to around $1400.

I just said f it, and went ***** out. I really cant wait to get this thing running.

What's great is you can make it how ever you want. I needed a 3.5dp, they did it, I wanted a 1.32ar,done. 4inch compressor inlet and 3 out.

My point is you can get very creative because they make them one by one in house.

The pt88 is still bigger than the 8079 like the one I bought. But the pt88 is a very larger heavy older turbo.

I think they would make the same power also. Spools going to be crazy quick with my 3600 stall and 370ci even with a 1.32ar. Cant wait!!
