Default F/I or H/C

bought my car about two years ago. have lid LTs ORY magnaflow catback on the way monster stage 3 clutch and a rebuilt beefed up t56 transmission. Question is this: i want to do a power add mod next and cant decide between a procharger setup or heads and cam. procharger is "bolt on" and me and my friend can do it in my garage. the heads and cam will most likely need someone to do it for me as my experience is limited on cars. I am mechanically inclined but havent dug into an engine. What do you guys suggest? its a weekend only driver since i drive my work truck for work. Are prochargers still reliable or do they cause stuff to break on the motor. It will basically be a street car with time at the track rarely. any help would be appreciated as to which kit would be best. looking for around 500 rwhp hopefully. heads and cam i was thinking of was the afr 215cc heads and a matching cam with new rollers rockers etc.

Or sell ur as is running ls1 and apply funds to 6.0 iron block build with good heads and cam. The forced induction route has lot of lil hidden costs that will add up
Depends on ur budget and skill.

It will be easier to make 500+ going FI, but harder on your wallet. What years the car? If <'00 you'll wanna put a set of arp rod bolts in it, they're notorious for letting go and causing big probs over 5800rpm.

I have a 2002 ws6 m6. Heads cam route was going to be 4500-6000 dollars. Figured spend a little more for a procharger that I can install myself

I would not say that. They are easy to install. But boost is addicting and on a stock motor your more than likely headed for an overdose.. however procharger ftmfw!

The above D-1SC kit is a great way to go, as it will allow further upgrades to your engine down the road without becoming obsolete.

Well im just doing a project a year. Don't have 12k to drop in it all at once. So figured I could do h/c or save money for the procharger. Eventually I would like to do both obviously.

go for the FI
when i first bought my car 4 years ago i originally wanted to go boosted but then was talked out of it, and over the years my car has had almost every performance mod done to it
bolt ons then bolt ons + n20 then cam +n20 then h/c/i then h/c/i +n20
overall my car has gone very fast but ive never really been satisfied and now im almost done with my boost build but i would have saved a ton of money if i went boost first !!
