****wb was unhooked during this run as we used the bung for the dynos wideband***

Chris and Brian messing with the Megasquirt
The new throttle body in place
Overall it made 661rwhp at 4900 and 719 rwtq at the same RPM(4900) on the Mustang dyno. If you use 12% to convert the Mustang to the dynojet its about 740rwhp/805 rwtq, but those are only guesstimates. The first ones are the only hard numbers I have. Its like it's hitting a brick wall at 4900. On the last pull you can hear it sounds like a rev-limiter. I know TPI is no high RPM motor, but it should pull more than that. Looking into it now...

Nice ride and lots of good work. I just wish you designed it with a good single plane manifold and a 90 degree elbow - you are cutting off your potential HP at the knees due to the poor high-end breathing of even a ported, big runner TPI.

Thanks everyone!
The TB was a joke, just to see if we got any funny responses to it.
Iknow, I know all about other induction systems. There is just something that makes me want to keep the TPI on there for now. Besides I want to hit 700rwhp with it(on a dynojet).
Also, the other wheels are still here, just in storage until the car is painted!
Some bad news though
Noticed the supercharger belt was continuosly getting loose. Did some research and it looks like the crank key broke
Got it disassembled, then back together and the balancer has a little bit of play when ran up on the crank and no bolt. Of course it tightens down with the bolt, but I don't wanna risk that with this much boost! Looking a replacement balancer now...

You actually could put the TB there - Vortech recommends it for road racing. This is a good read if you haven't run across it already:

with a ported TPI setup and slp runners im supprised that it doesn't want to rev higher since its literally having air forced down it.
But i love the car man, and its awesome that you are making big power with something different.

Yes, it was just there for a fun picture. It's "thadd" on here. He is in the dyno forum with his 346 LS1 numbers. Check him out, it's very impressive.
New balancer fixed my problem , but it almost wasn't was when the crank bolt stripped(after just using the bolt to pull the balancer up.) Thankfully we got it out and the new balancer is nice and tight!
Now I just put it back together AGAIN!

Looks like an awesome build. I've known that car for a long time and it's been an idol to me. I was kind of upset to see that you ripped the stickers and everything off, but you look like your def building it the right way, and the car sure has a great new owner! Can't wait to see more on it.
Oh and BTW....I REALLY hope thats not a stock T5 behind a 700HP TPI torque monster!!! LOL

Thanks for the compliments. The stickers were just too much for me honestly. It will look great when finished!
I have since lowered the boost back to 16, its relatively drivable, lowered the vacuum required to open the surge protector, instaleed a new coil(which seems to have fixed the 4900 rpm wall, at least on the street)and got it back to the paint shop. Want to get it painted and the body work finished and its just a few small problems to fix once back on the road, which include
-dipstick loose in block so oil comes out under boost
-more tuning
-going to boost reference the regulator so that I am not using so much of the injector
Here's a picture of it back at Absolute body.....
Going to block the body tonight....
