Default Have boost rotating assemble, cant find lq9 or 4. Chicago or close people please help.

my speed shop has been looking for almost 2 months for a 6.0 iron block. I already have every part to get this thing going except the block.

Why are these things so rare now? Does any one have any leads on one around chicago land?

Iv

salvage yard? yeah you may have to buy the whole bottom end but still, after 2 months id say screw it. you can re sell the crank if its good, any sensors that are still attached, the covers, pullies, etc to recoup some of the money.

X2. There will also be little parts you might not have and will need off the core to complete the build. It's always good to have extra bolts, cam plates, and stuff.

I have all the other parts coming off my slightly damaged ls1 engine that's in the car now.

Basically I already paid for the forged short block at a local speed shop. the crank, rods, pistons, rings bearings and bolts are all in. they just can't find a block. So now I have to find one and deliver it to them so I can get my engine back.

I can't afford to spend $1700 on a stock engine from the junk yard and then spend a year selling every little part off it and maybe get 500 bucks back. At that rate I would have been better off buying a new block.

I know this is bs that I have to find the block but there is nothing I can do now,its already paid for.

Have you tried calling AES? They may sell you one even if you don't have the work done there. Worth a shot after 2 months....Maybe should have gone there to begin with at that rate and with their reputation and surprisingly affordable build prices. Then if you ever had to sell it or the car you would have a highly recognized builders name to put in the ad which Always helps a sale.

its a really long story but I really wanted to go with aes believe me. I ended up having to go with another place because of a deal we worked out on some other work. This is all over a possibly faulty tune that caused me last engine to let loose. Again really long story that's a huge cluster.

I did call fraiser, he doesn't have any either.

the blocks are a dime a dozen in salvage yards as cores. Or you can get one from LQK.

dude 1700 for a stock 6.0 short block is completely insane, maybe its different up there but down here you can pick one up for 400 to 500 bucks max. google LKQ, they are a huge salvage yard chain that must not be in your area, they will get you one to your liking, pack it up and ship it to you and you will still come out on top.

A huge junk yard chain all over the US. They sell on Ebay too... email them and see what they got if they dont list it.

Tell them you want a core.
