QMP Formula Meets Its' End Tonight.....
Rob?
Rob: the turbo blue is a lower octane rating then the C16 right? (edited)
i thought your were running more boost before. ill have to dig up the old posts.

I think you meant "lower than C16". Yes, Turbo Blue is only 104 motor octane, and C16 is 118 motor octane. But keep in mind...we aren't running a lot of boost and only 16 degrees of timing. So the C16 will only help if we are seeing detonation. (and of course it's good insurance with cast pistons)I don't think I'm ready to make a 20 second pull either. But I did run it through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on the street last night with the ET Streets. Zero traction in 2nd, some traction at the top of 3rd, and pretty much full traction in 4th. At the top of 4th on the street AF was 12.3-12.5:1 (hard to read well at 130...).

and i looked through some of your old posts and you said you were running 14psi on your higher pulls.
so that makes sense, tuned to the right octane with all the air that Q-trim could push out.

How come the AF looks like it is all over the place?
Cheers,
Chris
Seriously though, I only fine tune the programming from 4000 up because of the Methanol Injection. The "wavy" area in the graph between 2800-3750 is due to the Methanol Injection engaging. If I shut off the Methanol, it's a nearly flat line, but too lean in the upper RPM's.Oddly enough, you can't "feel" anything wrong in the car in that area at all. And if you notice, the HP/TQ curve doesn't show it either. At this point all I can assume is that the addition of the Methanol in the burned exhaust, maybe affects the WBO2 a little bit at first. But I'm not certain. Anyone else know?
What I do know is, the car screams.
Regarding Break-in on the SPEC Stage 5 clutch, it doesn't require it. Only on the Stage 1-4's. I was surprised at how streetable the new Stage 5 is. It doesn't really drive much different than the Stage 3-I we were running.
I also took some pics of the chewed up Stage 3-I disc and flywheel. I'll post those to the site later when I update everything.
Todd...along with the video camera, bring a bucket and some clean-up supplies. Something is gonna let go! I just hope the stock rear end will let me at least get down the track once. This could be cool...stock rear, stock motor, stock tranny, big turbo.
Again congrads. Makes my numbers look like Poo Poo $hit..

or at least bring a moser with you so when it goes (and im sure it will) swap it out real quick then go down with the moser.
I'm just gonna launch easy, and look for big mph. ET can come later.
