Rob?
i dont think i could get my car back together by then either, still waiting on my new torque arm. Ill probably just ride my bike down like ive been doing and race that if its not snowing.

Rob: the turbo blue is a lower octane rating then the C16 right? (edited)

Huh?? I think you meant "lower than C16". Yes, Turbo Blue is only 104 motor octane, and C16 is 118 motor octane. But keep in mind...we aren't running a lot of boost and only 16 degrees of timing. So the C16 will only help if we are seeing detonation. (and of course it's good insurance with cast pistons)

I don't think I'm ready to make a 20 second pull either. But I did run it through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th on the street last night with the ET Streets. Zero traction in 2nd, some traction at the top of 3rd, and pretty much full traction in 4th. At the top of 4th on the street AF was 12.3-12.5:1 (hard to read well at 130...).

Rob, please do us all a favor and don't touch the car again until you're ready to run it down the track.

How come the AF looks like it is all over the place?

opps ya i ment C16 higher then turbo blue

and i looked through some of your old posts and you said you were running 14psi on your higher pulls.
so that makes sense, tuned to the right octane with all the air that Q-trim could push out.

Because it is. Seriously though, I only fine tune the programming from 4000 up because of the Methanol Injection. The "wavy" area in the graph between 2800-3750 is due to the Methanol Injection engaging. If I shut off the Methanol, it's a nearly flat line, but too lean in the upper RPM's.
Oddly enough, you can't "feel" anything wrong in the car in that area at all. And if you notice, the HP/TQ curve doesn't show it either. At this point all I can assume is that the addition of the Methanol in the burned exhaust, maybe affects the WBO2 a little bit at first. But I'm not certain. Anyone else know?

What I do know is, the car screams.

Regarding Break-in on the SPEC Stage 5 clutch, it doesn't require it. Only on the Stage 1-4's. I was surprised at how streetable the new Stage 5 is. It doesn't really drive much different than the Stage 3-I we were running.
I also took some pics of the chewed up Stage 3-I disc and flywheel. I'll post those to the site later when I update everything.

Todd...along with the video camera, bring a bucket and some clean-up supplies. Something is gonna let go! I just hope the stock rear end will let me at least get down the track once. This could be cool...stock rear, stock motor, stock tranny, big turbo.

Rob, I'm amazed... I've also got the SPEC stage 5 clutch, I too was impressed how streetable it is. My Carbon Stage 4 Clutch could not hold up to what I was throwing at it. This stage 5 is holding very strong. SPEC states it's very streetable due to the pressure plate engagement. It's a new pressure plate that Dave at SPEC made up recently. He said it slows the engagement of the pressure plate ever soo slightly to make it more streetable. I have a friend with this clutch, with the older pressure plate in his 383 LS1 stroker. He either stalls the car at a light, or breaks the tires loose a little. He likes the clutch, but is jelous that mine is more user friendly. They also state the Stage 5 clutch is rated for 800 FWHP. I guess your car is a good test for the single clutch... If yours holds, mine will surely hold!!

Again congrads. Makes my numbers look like Poo Poo $hit..

Clint

Rob its a waste for you to drive up there and go down the track with a stock rear, come on, we want to see this go down the track once, i dont think the 10 bolt would last the burn/warm up for the tires.
or at least bring a moser with you so when it goes (and im sure it will) swap it out real quick then go down with the moser.

Well, the rear has lasted 141 passes on the dyno...

Ah hell, put a rear in it. It's not going to break the beam...

We are working on a custom rear end setup right now. I don't think it will be done in time. In fact, I know it won't.

I'm just gonna launch easy, and look for big mph. ET can come later.
