Default How reliable is the P1sc-1 procharger?

I am stuck trying to decide between doing a procharger or doing heads/cam on my car. My car will not be a track car but will see the track from time to time. I've always wanted to have a procharger but I wanted to keep it somewhat stealthy. Exactly how quiet is the new helical gears they offer if anyone has any experience with them and how reliable is a procharger. I'm only wanting to go mid 11's for now but will surely upgrade once this car is paid off. Don't worry i will be upgrading the rear end to a MWC 9" and all supporting mods. I've always believed in buying the best. So what experience can you guys give me about the procharger?

You'll spend as much, if not more on a H/C set up that is at it's max once it's put together. With boost, you have options You don't have to change your heads/cam/setup every time you feel the need for a little more power.

The helical gears are very quiet, and these blowers are very reliable.
Our '95 Formula has had a P-1SC on it since 2002, you can check it out in this link. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Brute-Spe...ed-Formula.htm
8 psi on these LS1 engines with headers and exhaust will generally give you an extra 140 rwhp! Give me a call for great prices! Bob

Your blower can't be converted to the helical gears. You would have to buy a whole new blower.

The Aster bracket would quiet yours down considerably, as the spring loaded tensioner prevents much of the rocking back and forth of the head unit's straight cut gears, that is present at idle. Bob
