Smoke coming out valve cover breathers Hey guys, I recently went to my local 1/4mile track and hot-lapped the car a ton of times in 100 degree weather. I got about 12 runs in and by the end of the day, my motor started smoking a bunch out of the breathers on my valve covers. I drove it home and by the time i got home, it was running pretty rough. there is air coming out pretty hard, along with some oil spraying out 
I havent done a compression test yet, but Im assuming that I might have broken some of the piston rings. I have Mahle forged pistons w/ Mahle rings.
have you guys ever run into piston ring problems after working the motor that hard all day? The rings were gapped a little loose to be on the safe side, so im just trying to figure out what could have caused this. hopefully the block is okay.
p.s. im running about 14psi on a safe tune

Whats your PVC system look like? Its probably fine because youve been around a while on here but I had to ask.
My vote is for ring related.
Maybe you just broke down the oil very quickly from all the heat? maybe?

And im running synthetic Torco oil, i really doubt it broke down that bad haha. besides there was a lot of fast moving air coming out the valve covers

the reason im hoping its the rings is that the car still drives fine (seems a little slower) but its not like im missing a cylinder and i ran a misfire test and im not misfiring anywhere...

I had that happen to me before. I was lucky that it wasn't the rings it was just blow by. Also a bad misfire could cause the same thing. That's just my experience with it. But def. the 1st thing to do is check all the plugs and it wouldn't hurt to see if the injectors are good also. If an injector is dead it could cause the same thing. Just my experience with this.

Sounds exactly like what mine was doing when i busted two ringlands out of the number 5 piston.
LIke said above, check your spark plugs, they will show which cylinder has an issue. atleast mine was black in the number 5 spot anyway.
