Yes,this def will be mainly an 1/8 mile deal. We have changed the turbo, out with the 106,we have some new turbo technology going in. It should be fun-we're trying out alot of new technology in this engine,so I hope it works how I have it planned
Care to elaborate on the new turbo technology?

I couldn't fit any more stroke with the alum rods.

but i prob wouldn't have anyway- this is what I feel is the biggest reliable engine for 2500+ hp

This is an insane build and seems to be on the cutting edge. Congrats to you guys for being able to do this and share some of the details.

Hey shawn, if you don't mind me asking, what cnc equipment do you use for block work? Do you use one machine for all block prep (sans cylinder honing of course)? Also, do you the main bearing bore on that cnc or do you use a hone with stones?

I'm just trying to justify some some stuff that my local engine builders are telling me.
I've got a shop near me that is using an RMC V40 and they prepare the main bore with a cutter that cuts each main one at a time. Some of the old school guys around here are convinced that main bearing bore alignment from each main to the next could be compromised by using this method instead of a traditional align hone using stones. Do you have any real world knowledge on this?

We use an RMC V40 for our block work as well. Anybody who challenges the accuracy of that method of machining the main bore has no knowledge of cnc equipment-if they did, they would know that we can hold .0001 accuracy. Next time one of those guys tells you it's not accurate, ask them how they check their main bore for straightness and what their tolerance for straightness is. You can be sure that they are nowhere near .0001 accuracy

Thanks for the response. So let me make sure I have this right, you cut the mains on the cnc and thats it. No finish up on the hone right?
