Default low comp turbo build

what all do i need to do a 8:1 comp ls1 single turbo just need a parts list have no clue how to go about it i know iam running a 78mm turbo or a lil bigger need help thanks

Why do you want to go so low on the comp??

Maybe big boost potential on pump gas.Your CR will be just fine I've been through this topic on here before and people are about to let you know that you shouldn't and how much of a dog it's gonna be out of boost don't buy it.

I would start with a good forged internal short block and the contact Josh at kytp and he can set the Turbo system up for you depending on your goals

IMO, 8:1 is a bit low. I would try to at least stay around 9:1.

i have around 8:1 on my forged 370. cant wait to get on the dyno

Out of curiosity, how does the car feel off boost? Does it still accelerate well? If so, did you have to ramp up the timing a bit?

My 03 cobra was 8.5:1 and worked fine.

idk yet. dont have the car done. hope to have done in a month or so. i have -22 dish pistons with 317 heads and ls9 head gasket...im not worryed about it at all..

in the future i want to throw a set of afr or tfs on it with smaller chambers. dont have the extra 2k right now

I am going with a built bottom end 390 cu in LQ9 motor and the CR on it will be 9.2:1. Not a complete dog without boost but still able to force some air through her.
