I ran the -8 ngk copper and the TR8Ix back to back last year...no more power, but the ix's last longer on leaded fuel....enough for me to keep buying them since plug chaanges are not funnnnnnnn.

The Ix are iridium. I didn't think you could gap those? Or do you just run them straight out of the box?

You have to be very careful dropping the gap on the ix'x....I run them at 0.030

R5274-8 copper vs TR8ix iridium....same power...ix less prone to foul...both "color up" the same.

R5724-8 is stock # 7317 non-resistor

TR8ix is 3691 resistor.

I've run the -8 copper non's with MSD's, Magnecor and Firecore without any RFI. Fine plug for .708 reach, taper seat, blah,blah,blah....and cheap...I just hate plug changes in a turbo car....TR8ix extends but adds zero power....but I'm lazy and will continue to use them.

PS: I wait until Advance puts them on sale online and bundle with oil, etc for another 25% off since they are $6.oo each bundled....still high for a plug.

You should never use a non-resistor plug in a modern efi equipped car. The resistors are there specifically to help reduce electrical noise.

resistor plugs arent any difference price wise than non.

In fact, I cant even remember the last time I seen a non resistor plug for sale here, or anyone even still using them

How is the noise or interference manifesting itself ?
