well its running finally, and got all the body parts back on and lights working.

still have the stock injectors and 1 bar map in it, just to run it and check for leaks and let it get up to temp, etc..

have to swap the 2 bar map and the bigger injectors and get it tuned now.

very cool truck and setup

concerns...The plug wires look to be touching or very close which concerns me. I also don't see a support for the turbo in the pics.

Where did you get the elbow off the throttle body?

I'm not sure about the plug wires... there's header wrap on the manifold and there's "fire sleeve" on the wires.. supposed to be good for 2000* ambient and 500* direct contact.

Theres no brace because its schedule 10 s/s and its pretty burly... we'll see if it holds up..

I got the silicone at racepartssolutions.com

To fit the intercoller did you cut the vertical metal piece that runs alone the front of the radiator? I'm not sure what the hell it is or what it does, but I'm guessing it is a core support brace, or something like that.

yea i cut a bunch of it out.. but all said and done im using the same hood latch and it works fine, and with some pretty "heavy" modifiactations the grill is on it... ill try to post some pics later

honestly id probably do something different intercooler wise if i did it over again, probably w2a behind the bumper and move my radiator forward so i could use som giant factory electric fans...

drove the truck in boost tonight... its definately alotta fun. had only regular street tires, so no traction... around 5psi it comes alive pretty good. saw 15psi a couple times with the w.g. signal to the wrong port...

only went WOT a couple times, still not sure about the tune. spun the tires at 55mph to 100mph(wheelspeed) in about a second or two....

so far everythings good.

im gonna work on data logging some logs this week. i gotta get the cable for my wideband to connect to the lap top for hp tuners. my afr is pretty much where i want it at wot. but really rich at part throttle and cruise.

ive had it to 15 psi for quite a few short bursts (with some 112 octane mixed in the tank..) and it is quite quick on 15psi....

apparently 15-16 psi was too much. lifted drivers side head... a little, seeping water at the front corner..

this was 6 psi straight 93 octane, around 12-14*timing. boring...

doing head studs and ls9 gaskets for spring, and hopefully 15-17 psi at the track.

Pretty nice smokeshow for only 6lbs. So how much do you have invested in the turbo setup? Have any dyno numbers yet?

im not sure exactly how much i have into the turbo setup.. i have around 17K into the whole thing, including paying 4200 fro the truck... but now the trans is built, good converter, driveshaft, and moser rear. fuel system is also done(unless i siwtch to e85) two wlabros, -8 feed, 80lb injectors...

its a totally different animal above 10psi. ive been driving on 6-7psi and have put 1,000 miles on it so far, a/f is rediculously rich... cant really afford a dyno tune right now. i am almost positive i will be racing it for the first time this saturday. pretty excited to see what it does. ill run it on 7psi, and if it hooks good, ill turn it up to around 11-12.

Nice, I'm still on the fence with what FI I want. I don't want to go into debt doing it though. I think the Procharger kit would be around 5200

yea, i hear you on the debt part. i owe very very little on my truck but i worked alotta hours (like 72-84 a week, 12-16 hours a day) to the point it started taking the fun outta the build. if you did it yourself you could probably turbo a little cheaper, but its no secret, its all expensive. honestly if you had a medium number in mind and didnt plan on wanting more down the road, i would just do a twin screw blower... the simplicity and torque is hard to beat. i plan on upping my combo soon... next year probably. bigger turbo and maybe a glide.

Awesome build. It's pretty amazing that your saying 6-7 psi is boring lol, actually it isn't. I was saying the same thing about 11psi after a month of owning my car.

My plan was to work 2 full time jobs to pay for the build up of my truck, but work 80-96hrs a week got to me. I was getting about 4-5hrs of sleep a night, falling asleep at work and even starting to doze off driving to work. I worked it for 2 or 3 weeks and said **** it, it's not worth it. You worked a lot to get your truck done.
