Being that his DP and crossover is not fully welded in the pics from today, I would assume that is a previous pic at the drag strip...

Very cool. I have a built LS1 in my 97 Sonoma. I can't imagine trying to fit a turbo in there too.... Nice work.

Ah, I figured the pic of you at the track was with the new set-up! LOL

Cool, I am always curious to see how other log style systems perform!

I saw this truck on the turbo forums and save pics of the log manifold for reference in the future. Awesome truck and hope you hit your goals.

Thank you guys! I'll be starting an actual build thread here pretty soon... I should be dropping the motor back in the truck very soon.

Looks really nice IL bet it runs a full second quicker than that if it hooks. Will that setup fit a 4x4?

Stock48 i hope your right about the e.t.!!!!! ive followed your success closely over the years.

the a/c thing could probably be over came, it was more of an issue with the air to air inetrcooler and condenser than it was the pump or acc. drive....
maybe you could keep it and do remote mounted air to water or just spray alky/meth/water...

i think i am gonna try to lighten the truck up with some simple obvious spots for now, like the hard toneau cover and maybe a glass hood...

if i can get it down to under 3500lbs with me i think itll have some pretty good potential.

what are you using for the other side mani?
why did you decide to go log over using c6 mani's flipped?
(You would get less turbulance and better flow out of exhaust manifolds but at least you have the piping curved some and not 90* into the log)

good luck with the build, keep us posted!

The way that he has built his is way better then a normal "log".
The primaries "Y" into the main pipe.
This is just like I built for my turbo set-up and think it mimics a stock manifold.
The stock manifolds are short primaries that feed into each other.

Looks great in my opinion!

That log will support more than enoug power to push that truck into the mid 8's with the right set up. Some logs are terrible but nothing worng with a nice forward sweeping log like that.

thank you guys i have a couple more pics, ill try to post em tomorrow...

i think on a conservative tune (timing and a/f) on race gas im gonna try and push this at 15 psi and see how fast it'll go....
the big part im unsure of is how it'll leave... i dont know what it will 60'... obviously im not building it with the best e.t. in mind...
the 4l80e isnt the best and itll just be foot-braked, 3500 stall and cal-trac'd rear suspension..
if it will 60' in the 1.5X's i think it'll run a good e.t.
(and if its a dog in the first 60' itll be getting the wet nitrous kit back on it from last year...haha!!)
