yea, its tough, ya gotta really want it. but also you do have to look out for your own safety, i know what you mean about dozing off driving and stuff.. not cool. just stay at it. itll get there.

went to a track rental yesterday.
1999 gmc sonoma, lq4, ls6 cam, tc78 homemade log manifold, 4l80e circle d 3500, moser 12 bolt.
been tuning it myself with help from a buddy. weve got it all messed up.

ended up running 10.5 afr, 14* timing, 12 psi on vp112 and best pass was 10.86@127.96 with a 1.77 60'.
(last fall it ran 10.82 @128.5 on 10 psi with different tune)

all in all did 9 passes and drove it 160 miles round trip.
had a new best 1/8th mph.. 104.1

probably going to throw it on a dyno just for numbers and tear it all apart for the next level build

Add some timing to it to clean up that air fuel before you break some ring lands with fuel igniting past the rings...

McMasterCarr sells it. Not sure if MSCDirect does.

If you look for a pipe and valve supply in the phone book you may find it local.

The welds on the manifold were tig welded, the rest of the mild steel welding was done with the hobart 140.
The 2bar map was maxed at 15psi. The downpipe was 3 1/2".
I still have it, working on a completely different setup now.
Alot more race oriented, hoping to weigh 3200-3300 with a roll cage.
Using a 2008 4.8 this time with headstuds and e85. Looking to make around 650-700 rwhp..

So the crossover pipe and downpipe fit between the motor and frame OK?

http://www.theturboforums.com/thread...x+log+manifold

I think theres more pics of the crossover etc here...

The crossover fit fine, the downpipe wouldnt fit so i clearanced the firewall for it. No complaints, im actually going to re do it a little more for a 5" downpipe this time.
(Id post pics directly but posting from my cell phone, sorry)

The log was 2.5" schedule 10, the primaries were 1.5" schedule 10.

Ended up going speed density and only using my wide band o2 in the downpipe.

Theres nothing wrong with a manifold with straight shots into the log either.. Ideal, no, but what its leaving on the table for any of these stock engine turbo setups.... you will never notice it. If you are doing log manifolds on a seriously built deal... thats another story.
