Not a turbo guy, but I know a little something about oil and I am running CAM2 20W50. I get it for free, so that helps too.

I used to be a formulation chemist at Sunoco. It was specifically in the gasoline market, but had some friends over at the refinery and race fuel division.

But it's been a while since I've been in that industry. I've been in Pharma for the past 10 years.

As for the CAM2 comment. My wife actually does quite a bit of design work for them and is constantly asking me to explain different things about oils.

There's some differences between oil brands, but not as much as you may think. Most companies use the same base stocks.

Amsoil all the way. I've run every high end synthetic and I always come back to Amsoil. It makes my grand national happy.

For the monster trucks we either run Red Line or Amsoil, a few run Brad Penn.

For the other's that run Amsoil, do you guys use the Hot Rod line up with the extra ZDDP additives for motors with flat tappet cams and that are deemed "high performance"?

If Rotella Syn 5W-40 is good enough for my Duramax, it's good enough for my turbo 6.0.

If you can add unicorn tears and a touch of unobtainium to the mix, I'll buy some, if you can keep it under $10 / quart.
