Talking Powerdyne for my 99 WS6??

I have a guy that lives in my subdivision, that has a powerdyne supercharger for a 5.3 truck that has never been installed. I looked @ the setup and I feel pretty confident I can make this setup work on my T/A. Any suggestions from the Forced Induction Gods would be greatly appreciated.

I had a friend of mine who's a machinest looked @ the setup. He said he can modify it, and make it work. I just first wanted some input. What H.P. increase can I look for w/ a 9lb. pulley? Or is there a 12lb. pulley by chance?

They make a stock 6lb pulley. Anything after that you will have to have custom made. I had a custom 2.9" pulley made and on my heads and cam motor it produced 8lbs of boost. With that setup I made 473rwhp and 459rwtq.

Can you tell me where you had the custum pulley made? Also I've heard about a kevlar internal belt so it can handle the extra abuse?

ASP will make you the pulley.

As for the belt I am not sure. Jrios is super busy with a new job but if you PM or email him I am sure he will answer your question on where to get the belts.

I probably wouldn't go past the 2.9" pulley. I think anything else the belt will probably break. Or at least shorten the belts life greatly. But it also depends on how high you plan on revving the motor. 6k rpms is the most I would bring up the rpms. You will find by 2500rpms you will have 5psi and at about 4500rpms you will have 8psi and than it would hold steady. At least that is what I noticed with my heads and cam setup. I would guess on a stock motor with the 2.9" pulley you will probably see 10psi.

I never pushed it past the 2.9" pulley so I could not tell you for sure but my guess would be that is the limit where you still get driveability and your not replacing the belt all the time.
