You need a stiffer spring in the wastegate, it should be able to make more boost then.

Ya the ads are sad, there are other vendors listing it as water cooled.....
Think my wastegate spring is just too weak, barely holds 4 psi with the controller off, ill try to get a 8 psi spring then use the controller to add more.

It is P trim...got it cheap and compared to an EBay .84 it is an upgrade. It is a 4400 Lb lead sled...I use it as a street toy is all. Someday I may use the engine and transmission in a Monte Carlo I have. I like having a 20 mpg Roadmaster with a little umph I am hoping for just a low 12 so nothing to write or brag about.

Great info. I just mounted the turbo, waste gate. What type fuel lines you run? I see everyone mount there turbo with compressor facing forword. Is that to simplify down pipe route? Can you give me info on how to make the down pipe? I have the same turbo.

for fuel lines...I run the 250 PSi blue line wrapped in a plastic cover ...3/8". yes forward facing so the exhaust has a straight path backwards. FOr the downpipe... its a 3.5" v band...so order one of those, and then either use 3.5 pipe or I used 3" and expanded the end to fit in the v flange and ran 3" all the way back.

Is the down pipe have to be stainless, or can I use mild steel?

Mild. Then I used a 3" glasspack, car is not very loud. I added a cut-out and found that it adds 2psi when I take the cap off

Are the external waste gates adjustable? If so how do you adjust?
