This was the debut of the new setup. I order a billet 5500 stall converter. I also redesigned the turbo kit. My goals for the turbo kit were to get the turbo away for the t-body, make it a truly divided all the way to the turbine housing, down size from 3 inch to 2.5 inch crossover for quicker spool. I also wanted to be able to check my spark plugs without having to pull the manifolds and make it easier to swap a cam later on. I think I might even be able to add a filter now. I drove it up and down the street to put it on the trailer and headed to the track. Untested and I setup the 2 step in the pits, I took it for my first qualifying pass. Did a good burn out, footbraked into the beams hit the t-brake, boost came on instantly, lights came down car took off but the back end came out on me. I let off got it straight and got back in it. Clicked off a 10.7, Alright a new best for me! The 2nd pass was the first round of eliminations. I got the left lane this time and repeated my process but left at about 80% throttle on the t-brake and got a 1.5 60ft. Run went smooth and clicked off 9.56. WOOT 2 years in the making!! Run #3 back in the right lane. I went 100% out the hole, backend came out again and I got another 10.7 but won the round. Run 4 I'm up against one of my guys Mr. Neon. I give him lane choice. I get the left lane again. I launch on 80% throttle and pull a 1.6 60ft and get a 9.6 @ 147mph to Aj's 10.7 (his personal best to date - great job bro!). I won the All Out Power Adder class.

Awesome job, looks like its got more in it!

on your build thread, what plug wires are those where you have the coils mounted on the firewall?
do they all have 90* boots on the plug end?

I'm super excited. Thanks everyone. I know there is more in it. Its been my goal to hit at least 9.99 for 2 years now and I blew right past it. I think if I can get out of the hole a little better it will go low 9's maybe dip in to the 8's at this power level.

I plan on putting it on the rollers again next month. I'm organizing a dyno day in the june 18th. On 18psi it put down 695 on the old setup. Same turbo with the new setup and ebc set the same I was getting up to 23 ish psi. The afr's and plugs looked good So I didn't turn it down.

On the old set up I was running wires off a lt1 caprice. They wouldn't work with the new truck manifold I have on there now. I ended up having to build some this time around.

Nice passes! What altitude are you at? 145mph+ is hauling the bacon.

You have enuf tire and turbo for some easy 8's. That thing leaves as straight as an arrow.
