Default Turbo hot side question

Im planning or going turbo on my camaro. Iv been asking around to see which way is easier to keep a/c, Iv heard you can run a truck manifold on the driver side and a c5 manifold on the passenger side. I was wondering has anyone done this, if so how do you like it?

^ Why? The C6/Truck Mani setup is very simple. And you don't have to worry about scavenge pumps or your turbo(s) choking on water.

In case you don't read ^ that, the C6 manifold uses a steel o-ring to seal and its impossible to find new. The Toyota Avalon and Some Lexus models use it to seal the cat's.

with this setup how big of a down pipe can you fit?

Depends on the kind of k member. Stock you can fit 3.5 with solid mounts, aftermarket you can fit 5 inch

^ Precisely. I don't really think you would need more than 3.5" unless your running a T6.

Just a note on the C6 Manifold flange: You can machine down the manifold (or grind it) so its is flat and just uses a flat alumimum or copper gasket with a common flat flange.
