Question about boost?
Keep reading posts that say any boost below 7 psi is simply not worth it?
I have a high compression engine (11:1). To add a supercharger with this compressionwould limit the amount of boost I can run (6 psi max.?). But most people from the FI world say this is a waste. While I realize that more boost makes more power, I actually have an upper limit of 550 rwhp I would run, but I would be happy with anything over 500. Currently the engine does 438 rwhp. Lets say it will do 400 rwhp once cam and exhaust changes are made before the blower is installed. Could the supercharger install make 500+ rwhp?
So would the S/C experts consider an 11:1 compression engine running at 6 psi a diminishing return?

You're still gonna make more power than you are now and have the means to make much more on race fuel as hydro said. With having 11:1, i'm guessing you probably have 66cc or smaller chamber heads so you could easily swap out to some untouched 317's and drop your comp the same way i am with mine if you read in my sig. I'm at 11.2:1 with 62cc going to 71-72cc and dropping over a point on my CR so i can run 10-12 lbs on pump and go up from there on race. Just a thought, maybe post more info on the rest of your combo and GL!

My car set up is as follows: PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads (11:1 comp.), custom grind cam, Callaway Honker CAI, Z06 sway bars, PFadt coilovers, GHL catback, Ported TB, American Racing headers, 438 rwhp, 378 rwtq.

6 psi of boost with your 11/1 compression ratio will get you a good amount of additional horsepower. Since you're at 438 rwhp already, you're going to see a good healthy increase. Bob

But with my compression and a 226 230 ).585/0.585 114 LSA camshaft how long will the engine last under boost?

The carb approved kit is the one that comes with the tune. They won't supply a tune with your modifications, but it could be ordered for a stock engine, then you'll have the carb sticker and then you'll have to get the car tuned. I don't see a problem with the engine lasting with 6 psi of boost, as long as you get a good tune. Your compression ratio isn't that high to cause a problem. Bob
