Default truck manifold turbo, is it worth it

I'm debating if its worth losing my working ac for doing the truck manifold turbo setup, anyone remove there ac to do this and regret it or remove it and think it was well worth it?, this is my DD and I live in southern VA so it deff gets hot in the summer, espicially in a black on black leather car, any input is apprtiated

Just do the setup described above, the stainless works headers will also work if you choose that route

All the C6/Truck builds I've seen so far use the passenger side C6 manifold mounted normal and then bring the pipe off it going forward. There's a pic at the top of this thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...dy-thread.html

It'd be a hell of a lot easier with a turbo K.

Can somebody please post pics of "standing up the radiator". I still cannot imagine this, and how it helps placement? Thanks!

I will tell you from EXPERIENCE that you will save a lot of headaches/trouble by going with a k-member...the factory k-member and a 5" dp don't mix well lol...even when its reduced to 4".
And who needs ac anyway...with a turbo setup you'll have the windows down all the time just to hear it. (Trust me you'll never tire of the sound!)

Im about to go with truck manifold setup and ditch my ac and I live in texas granted the Trans am isnt my D&D anymore lol. I drove a year with out ac when it was my only car and I would never ever ever ever do it again. worst summer of my life, but with great power comes great sacrifices.

o wow wasn't aware the DP was gunna be 5inch or 4inch, was thinking 3inch lol, had no idea : \ lol so yeah that might be harder to run, and after i got car back yesterday i was decided to see how the ride home was with no ac, i think im gunna keep my ac, half way home i was sweating and gave up lol it sucked lolol

right now im just gunna save up a good amount to put towards this then probably end up gettin k member and etc
