Believe it or not, the stock pump is pretty popular.

Are you using a turbo or supercharger? If turbo, I wouldn't get hung up on the volume. Your oil lines to the turbo should have restrictors in them, so the turbos will only get very little oil.

Im running SLP and a double roller. Works perfect. I get around 30psi when oil is hot at idle and shoots almost up to 80 at around 7k.

My double roller chain came with two spacers for the oil pump. So i guess you could have something made? They are about 1/16 to 1/8 thick.

The mellings will have higher volume and pressure but is a thicker pump and can be a pain to fit with a double row chain as you still need the spacers for chain /pump clearance, alot of dremel work needs to be done to the pump and timing cover to make them fit , but it can be done.

For a simple boltup, go the SLP pump made for dble row chains.

Just wondering...do you know anybody that actually used the melling and doudle chain together and made them worked just by simply grinding some materials off to get the clearance to make them fit? co'z I was actually getting ready to order them, but I never heard anything about the clearance issue.

Yes I have done it on my own car.

Need to take quite abit of material off the pump and the timing cover to get enough clearence, but it can be done.

If you don't have any oil pressure issues, stick with an SLP pump or similar.

If you want the high volume mellings pump , convert to a heavy duty single chain set or be prepared for some dremel work.
