A 218/224 mid 540's to 550's lift on a 114 should do a good job if you didnt want to go to big on the cam or a 224/230 with 570's thru 590's on a 114 would do good. As long as you run good valve springs you should be fine....... I would recommend replacing the timing chain and oil pump while your in there.

I like the sound of Kyle's second example, you can live and grow with that 224/230//114 for a long time. It will have a lope and folks will know you are cammin' but it won't be as lopey as the hotcam. Should push you over 500rwhp no problem, you already have headers?

I agree.. you want something opposite of a turbo cam. something that favors the exhaust in lift/duration.... and keep the LSA around 114 as mentioned.

Not so good because it is on a 112 LSA. It bleeds off to much boost that you worked so hard to create.......

PSJ, I finally made my cam choice. I called Comp and they took all my information and Chris told me i would be very happy with this cam in my new motor.
Comp XER 230/236 .592/.602 on a 114+4

Thay said it should lope just like i want and make power to 6500rpm's wich is were i want to shift (Should MAX out the D1-SC w/ the ASP Cog Pulleys)

Make sense Kyle, I run a 230/236//115/+2 in my 348ci (not like your stroker) and my peak is probably ~7000 in my smaller motor.

I called Allen at FMS and he told me to go with a 236/242 .595/.615 on a 114. That was a little bigger then i wanted to go and that was with the 383 stroker i was building also.
Go with the 224/230 on a 114 you will like it and it will make plenty of power and you will still have room to grow with it.

What size are you doing for the new motor, similar to me?

If that cam you choose works well and makes good power that might be a good future upgrade for me to get rid of the baby nuts cam.....

I was thinking 236/240, might be slightly too big though.......

Bos,
AP Engineering Iron Block 370ci. Diamond Coated pistons, Eagle rods, ARP L19 rod Bolts and Head Studs, and Main Studs. I will be using that cam and 317 casting 6.0L head w/ MLS 6.0L head gaskets

Some Big Cams Quoted here. The HotCam is alright. But with the 112LSA it does bleed out fresh unburned air, not perfect for a blower.

Still making pretty good power though.

Im running the FM7 224/230 .587 .593 114 cam and it made great power N/A(almost 400rwhp with no TB or pulleys). Its my daily driver and it idles at 900rpm with no problem. Im getting the D-1SC soon and im going to run 8psi for now.
