sorry if I sounded abrasive. But filters that rely on oil to catch dirt have larger pores for air to travel through them and when they get dirty the oil is less sticky and the pores are still large enough to allow small particles of dirt to pass or they become very restrictive. In a very dirty environment oil foam filters have more area to hold oil and more pores and have the option of having progressively finer layers of media to trap finer dirt. UNOILED foam filters have no place on any engine in any environment.

I've bought 2 filters, both dry type, AFE Pro Dry and AEM Dryflow, both 9" long, AEM slightly larger diameter. I'll see how they perform.
