Just started my comp 8079 forged 9.7 comp 370. Cold pressure is perfect. Hot pressure is about 28 to 30 with 825 rpm idle. I haven't gone wot yet due to no tune but 4k rpm under load is only about.50psi.
I don't see it going much higher. Is that bad? Melling high volume pump.

My 370 also has lower oil pressure.... but i did setup my mains a little looser than stock (can't recall exact spec). At normal hot idle (875rpm or so) it is 18 pounds and cruises in the upper 30's. I was a little nervous at first but that was 10k miles ago... ha ha... Best of luck!

Im running 20-50 and on a really hot day my car will get to 230* after a heavy run and after that the oil is around 20psi at idle. Normally its around 30.(SLP pump with hi pres. spring)

Should be higher than that. From what I was always told, general rule of thumb is you want 10psi per 1krpm. My car will sit at 20psi on a REALLY hot day with high water temps at 800rpms..as soon as the rpms get to 1000 my pressure is in the high 30s.

On my brand new AES Fraser had me run Rotella for break in for a short time. It held great oil pressure as long as you didn't torch that Rotella with the turbo. After break in I switched to Valvoline VR1 20w-50 like he suggested and the oil holds consistent pressure...doesn't thin out and lose quite a bit of pressure when the oil gets extremely hot. When it's really hot it maintains 40-50 psi and when cold normal driving it holds 60ish

And what pump?
I'm using the same oil in my 390 from AES, but mine hasn't seen any miles yet.
