Cofused about turbo sizing
Called turbonetics and asked them about sizing a turbo for a 370 or 408 stroker build and he told me to get a 72mm with a .96 housing.
I see alot of people on here running 76mm with just 370 ci so what's the deal anyone have any other input.

72mm will support the Hp you asked for.
Kurt Urban runs a 72 on his AWD DD 370.
They are stuck in the gen1 cyl head arena.
Ask them what a 383 with AFR 227's and a 600 lift cam needs.
Might as well start with a 76GTS (7675) for a 370 with stock heads and a 225/225 cam.
Good for about 850-900 fwhp with the extra cid.

If it's a truck, then it's probably a 5.3 or a 6.0. Depending on the year, you probably don't even need to worry about doing up a motor or 500-600 horse reliably. Those motors have been pretty bulletproof at those power levels, and you could spend the money in other places where you may need it, such as fuel system or trans.
If you only will ever want 500-600hp, something in the 70-75 range should easily get you there.

well i would love more power. just wanted to be realistic. i already have the 6.0 block at the machine shop most likely be using factory crank compstar rods and diamond dish pistons with factory 317 heads.

No sense in putting a tiny turbo on it really then. Prices are very close. I you'll never want more than ~700rwhp, I'd go with a PT7675. It will spool almost instantly and make good power. If you're willing to deal with a bit more lag and want more power down the road, I'd look into the GT88 or PT88. You could do something in the Sxxx line as well if you have the room under the hood for it. The S475 and S480 can make big power on a budget, but they are huge physically.
