I can't believe your making that much power with a single 3 in exhaust, that's just nuts! How much boost?

I know its crazy. I kinda want to see how far I can take it. That also was going all through the borla muffler. I tried my electric cutout and it made the same HP.

The 891 was with 17 lbs of boost.

Here are a few videos.

These are from the previous 740 RWHP runs. These were shot with my Android.

This one is from the 891 run. A friend of mine shot this off his I Phone.

^ Price wise that would be the way to go.

Congrats on the numbers. I knew with more boost you'd reach your goal.

Sooper old school man! J/K, hardly anyone tries to get the with the LT1 any more it seems. I remember when Chris Sikora and George Baxter used to tear it up! Kudos!

That is a very sano setup and some excellent numbers. All in a great-looking car, too. I think the 1 7/8" headers are worth the investment but don't believe going to 2" would be worth more than about 15-20rwhp above 5500rpm. IMO a dual 3" system will pay off a lot more, all through the powerband, than the 2" headers.

Can you share your cam specs? I'm doing a similar SBC (and sticking with 1 7/8", true duals for similar rea$on$).

Sure thing.

The cam is actually an Ultra Dyne. My bad. But here are the specs.

Duration @ .050 255 I and 263 E. Lift is .626 I and .626 E on a 114 solid roller. I am using comp 888-16 solid lifters. Chad @ Golen Engines speced this out for me.

I think I am going to try doing the 3" dual exhaust first then switch out headers. I think I am going to just make one with Borla mufflers. I like the Kooks, but I could make it for way less and have better mufflers and tips on it.

Looking at the graph were it starts to flaten out since the AFR was going up to 12.8 :1 . I think the car will peak out at 925 to 930 with enough fuel. I was going to do one bandaid run with the meth on, but Mark @ RMCR didnt want to push it since the injectors were at 100% duty cycle by 4800 RPM.

I am glad he is always there to talk so since into me.

The intercooler and all the priping is 3".

Headers are the cheap Pacesetter 1 3/4 Long tubes with a Single 3" Brla Exhaust with the cutout plate closed and all going through the muffler.

Turbo Size????? This is a Vortech YSi Supercharger

Thanks, I think I have achieved my goal of being diffrent. You would not believe how many times I wanted to throw in the towel and do and LSX engine instead.

To be honest with out the LS pcm conversion I did this would of never been possible. Unless I used a FAST or Bigstuff.

Cool, thanks for sharing the specs. The cam I had made up is pretty similar, a Comp solid roller with one of their .420" intake lobes and one of their .406" exhaust lobes - 256/268@.050" on a 115lsa, net lift .692"/.707". I am using the same lifters but with a .180" offset intake lifter. 421" SBC/YSi combo.

How does yours idle?

You guys were wise to stop testing when you did. Running out of injector under boost is a recipe for disaster when tuning.

Your wiring picture brings back memories! And I'm going to re-live it this winter when I switch over to my new efi system.

It actually idles pretty nice. I have it at 1000 RPM. Sounds super killer with a nice thump to it. It actually idles better with the LS computer since it has that throttle follower function. I think thats what its called. I dont do the tuning.

Ya the wiring wasn't as bad as it looks. I am so glad I did it myself though. That way I could clean the harness up and cut everything to length. By far one of the best mods.

This car is very street able I drove it all last week to and from work.
Also Golen was right we have checked the lash on the rockers and with good components they dont really come out of adjustment. Going to make it a once a year check now.

So I got my injectors in. IC 1000's from FIC. These should get the job done. Only bummer is the car is still @ the body shop getting a few scatches fixed and painting a Trans Am hatch for it. Plus side it should look way better with the Trans Am wing.

Here are some shots of the injectors since I cant put them in. Should have dyno results and a 900 RWHP plus # very soon.

Thanks.

I have been way to busy at the shop to do anything on it. I have the injectors and I am thinking of doing Kooks headers and there 3" dual exhaust. Would love to see it break 4 digits.

Honestly, I am just not sure what the exhaust will gain me. Is it worth the 3K. I will order it in January and only time will tell.

I think it will be around 925rwhp with the injectors. I will try and throw it back on the dyno maybe next week.

I had the same issues with my exhaust. On a mild tuneup mine made 660 rwhp though the T56 with Hooker LT's (1 3/4"-3") and a 2OTL catback. I've since found a set of Hedman 1 7/8"- 3.5" headers I'm going to, with a set of 3.5" duals dumped. Hopefully when I turn it up the headers won't be my restriction.
