Hello fellow GMHTP readers and staff,
First off let me say that as a long time reader, you guys at GMHTP never fail to impress! Awesome issue this month! I just was studying the article entitled "Turbocharging 103: Cold side" and I had some questions about it.
I own a 2000 WS-6 with a 370 LQ9 with the APS twin turbo setup on it, and I was looking very much in to the Edelbrock Pro-Flo intake you guys used. My questions are:
1. Did you guys have to modify the WS6 hood at all to allow this to fit?
2. Did you have any specs or diagrams for the cut you made to the cowl, so if readers wanted to do this, they could it as well?
3. Is it required/recommended to have solid motor mounts with your setup since its such a close fit in the cut in the cowl?
4. Does the new edelbrock intake accept most aftermarket fuel rails? I have a set of the trick flow brand high flow fuel rails.
Thanks in advance for information, and as always I eagerly await your next issue!

2. We don't have any diagrams at this time but it is fairly easy to see where you need to cut as soon as you drop the Pro-Flo XT in place. If you get one and need additional help, PM me and I will get you some rough measurements.
3. No, you don't need solid mounts with the Edelbrock. Depending on how narrow or wide you make your cowl cut, you can give it some room to rock under power. I would recommend at least poly mounts with the power/torque that you should be making.
4. We haven't installed any fuel rails yet, so I can't comment on fitment. Sorry!
Just running an electric water pump and an alternator. No other accessories planned at this time.
Thanks! We couldn't have done it without a ton of help from everyone involved in the process.
Motor build starts soon... updates as soon as we get them!

Keep an eye on the down pipe distorting after long hot pulls. The aluminum will change in all kinds of cool ways, or atleast the 5" DP did on a 106mm/SB2 400 that raced in a local 275 class after half a season.
Cool build, and very mag worthy.

We would like to run in Texas and probably Maxton (or, wherever that ends up being). Bonneville would be great too, but that is more of a dream than something we have planned at this time. As for the time, we've got a long way to go, but hopefully sooner than later.
