Default rear gear- boost- t56 ?

im currently running a 3.54 rear gear and was considering swappind to a 3.13
but im not aure if that is to much gear for the 6 speed. I am limited to a 26' tire and spinning motor to 6200 rpm. any one with any gearing imput or advice on a turbo six speed car with real world experience would be greatly appreciated

I'm running 3.46s in mine , works fine.

I think 3.13s would leave 6th gear pretty much usless.

not really sure if im chasin my tail here but...... right now according to gear calculator i run out of 4th at aprox 135mph, with the 3.13 my max mph in 4th gear would be around 153. my thinking is that the car would be quicker thru the 1/4 with the 3.13 gearing assuming my car will trap higher than 135 mph........correct me if i am wrong

Drag racing is all about your launch, the first gear in the t56 already has enough problems getting going. I don't see a 3.13 picking up anything. I run 3.5's with 26" tires and they seem perfect. Depends how fast you plan to go.

I also run 3.50 gear and a 26" tire. Very nice to drive in town and high way. 124mph in the 1/4

i run 3.70's and 28"s. trap just under 135 now but have room for 145+ at the top of 4th

i agree with the guys in the 3.50 range with my current power level if i had to run 26" tires

I have 3.89's and plan on going down a touch. I'm not sure if I'd go that low in your car. Do you do any highway racing or a lot of street driving?

not much street driving but a majority of the races in my area are highway rolls, 40-140, 60-160 ect.either of which requires me to shift into 5th momentarily...i just thought that by going to the 3.13 it would save me one shift thru the quarter and possibly lower my et ,and or raise my trap speed
