408 Twin Precision 6765 V&P Racing LSX Pinto
Car:
'79 Pinto 25.5 Chassis
All stock body
Original stock front suspension minus shocks & limiters
Stock rear suspension
Calvert Split Mono's
Caltrac Bars
Afco Sliders
Double Adjustable Shocks
Anti Roll Bar
Engine Specs:
LSX 408 9:1
Hydraulic 246/242 .640 lift
Trickflow 220 CNC Heads
Victor Intake/90mm TB
Turbo Specs:
Precision Billet 67/65 .81 T4
Precision 46mm Wastegates
Twin Precision 1000hp A2W Intercoolers
Fueling:
Magnafuel EFI 750
Precision 120# injectors
BS3 Engine management
Drivetrain:
TH400 - PTC Converter
8.8 Ford - 275 Radial
The car made 991 @ 6400rpm with 16#s of boost and 15 degrees of timing with the air fuels low 10:1.
It made 1209 @ 6500 with the 19#'s and the air fuels 10.6 -10.8. I was afraid to pull too much fuel before taking it to the track. It made 2-3 more pounds of boost at the track then at the dyno.
The car comes up on the brake like a blower car. I go on the brake off idle.
The car has been 1.250 60' and 5.22 @ 139 with only 19lbs of boost.
It has been 8.30 @ 172 but with only a 5.45 in the 1/8.
This is at 3200lbs. I'm going to pull some weight out of the car next week and bolt on some 76's and see what it will do.

I was wanting to get it in the 7's with the 67's and I think it can still be done. Comparing some of my 1/8 mile increments to that 8.30 pass the car should be running in the 8.0's without leaning on it.
I just want to try the 76's to compare the two. Plus there isn't any class restrictions that limit me to the 67's.

From back in the 70/80s 1845 pounds half a tank on the fuel cell.
Your fast enough with that small a wheel base.
Put one through the woods on a 1/8th miles track.. Enjoy the car but be safe...
Still get tickled when someone makes fun of a pinto....
