Was at the YB nationals this past weekend. The x275 guys were 5.0's and 4.9's. Pretty sure I can't afford to run with those guys, but I'd be happy to qualify and go one or two rounds.

I would have to agree with this. I was mistaken earlier on my qualifying times that i saw.

seems that the last three events, 5.5s were qualifying, even a 5.6, but the 1st and second were both, 4.8-5.0x

The gt55 if I'm not mistaken is a mid frame. Cecil has a 3300 lbs. rule for these turbos. Should be a doable weight for me.

Damn near the same question here.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=383940

for the money I think the BW turbo is going to be hard to beat. I'm no dealer but it looks like about 1k cheaper than the precision. and a little cheaper that the garret and basically the same power and frame size. I'm pretty sure the forced induction fi88x is a s500 88 (<-not 100% on that)

One question, looks like the S400-hp88 is a killer deal too, with the same potential output of say the s500-88??

S400 is mid frame (GT42) with smaller turbine wheels (92-96). S500 is large frame (GT55) with 111mm turbine. A competetive x275 car is a $60k + car.

What size is the "TM1" wheel?

400 frame is ok but you will be up against that precision x275 unit and a 400 based unit is not in the same ball park. its rated the same because turbos are generally rated off of the compressor wheel. The turbo will hit those power levels if the back pressure is kept in check. (small engine like a 3.0l)

Good to know. I appreciate all the info man. I do.

Im gonna call Jose tomorrow again, i spoke with them today, answered after 3 rings, lol, Had to get that in their.

He made it sound like it would be a good intro turbo on a smaller cube motor. 350ci or less to get out and learn and find out if its something i want to get serious about.

decisions...
