I'm sure this is a going to be a fun setup and plenty for a street car. The car will have plenty of power left on the table with turbo and injector upgrades.

I see nothing wrong with the compression as long as it's tuned based off fuel used at safe boost levels. The old 9.0 comp. days are over with.

Couldnt have said it better.

Update
Not alot of progress today. Starter and wiring harness have been run. Hooked up everything under the car engine and turbo related. Tomorrow I'll take care of all the accessories and hopefully the intake. Ran into a snag when the new valley cover we fabricated didnt fit. Need to open up two of the bolt holes a tad. Vent plugs arrived today as well. Clutch will hopefully be here soon then I can button everything up and start my break in.

I've gone as far as I can go without the clutch. Everything is installed but the wideband and I cant fasten down the manifolds till I get the transmission in. Clutch will be here tomorrow. Tomorrow I may go for a start if its not raining Few pics of todays progress.

Valley cover we had to fabricate, it will never look this good again.

Why'd you have to make a custom valley cover?

We fabricated the last one when I swapped over to the LQ9 block from the LS2. One of those things I thought we could do a little better so I did. Only reason really the other one worked fine.

What a day, since the weather isnt going to cooperate all weekend I decided to put the transmission in anyways. At least I had a cover lol. Fortunatly my wife has some experience and when the rain slowed she help me get the tranny up and installed.

Put some gas in her checked for leaks and we are ready for start. I dont want to disturb my neighbors or Id do it tonight. Tomorrow morning all we have to do is prime the oil system and turn the key. Hopefully it will be a trouble free kind of day.

This morning..

We have ignition. 1st video didnt download but we have a 2nd one coming. No leaks, good oil pressure all I have to do now is clean things up, install the exhaust and triple check everything. I will start the breakin today if the weather holds. I dont mind a little rain but hard downpours will keep me inside

Two outstanding issues. Wideband sensor wont calibrate so I need to pickup another one. Its the NKG unit. Other is the exhaust gaskets need replacing. I have a autometer wideband installed so I'm not completely blind but for tuning I prefer the NGK.

Tried to take the car for a spin tonight but one of my exhaust hangers is rubbing against the driveshaft I'll fix it in the morning and I can begin some street tuning. No boost till the WB arrives and I get the engine broken in properly.

Looks good man! I just did the MSD wires last week. You definitely need to have the grease or you aren't going to get anything done.

Thanks, I tried putting them together without the grease your right not going to happen lol.

Took the car for a spin going murphy showed up and took out one of my plugs. I replaced it and all is well. Tune needs some work need to get the 80lb injectors scaled properly. Thats the plan for the week. Will update as I get closer to putting her on the rollers.

Unfortunately I'm running out of time thats why I'm working in the rain. Winding down a 30yr military career and I have about 45 days left before I move the household effects and family to Tampa. Alot of moving parts it would have been great if I could have gotten the car together sooner. All thats left is the tune and I can take my time with that the car seems solid.

Forgot to mention I did change out one thing mid stride. I went with a Carbon Twin Disk clutch. Feels nice.
