My car has always hooked, but it may be retiring from street duty. Considering a Strange brake setup. Will save a good amount of weight front and rear.

I'll probably wait until after April to pull the trigger on brakes, we'll see. Depends on what it runs on this combo

a car that runs sub 8.50's with a stick is pretty cool IMHO, regardless of what it really is.

This thread got way off topic, good looking setup though. Is this car going to make it to TX2K12, I read on another thread that y2kfrc was going(been hearing a lot about that car), ready to see videos of those cars running.

BTW new combo on this thing is stupid clean and should be ***** fast! Not trying to down it or you just stating the Supra side of the story.
Sounds like he took off on the 3rd honk

Thats not the video of our race. I have no reason to lie about the race...we raced 3 times. First two times, I got the better hit, and he never pulled around..I was a fender to 1/2 a car ahead...last race, he got the better hit, and was half a car ahead.

Never left on the 2nd honk...I was a stalled auto, in the perfect part of my powerband.....the instant I touched the gas on the 3rd honk, I was at full boost, which is prob why you might have thought I left early. Wills Supra was pulling the whole time in each race, im not trying to say I out powered his car...its a beast, just by the time we shut down the first two races at 160, I was still ahead. Ill try to find the video

Tryed to find the video..but no luck. It was posted on Wills facebook page earlier this year.

Anyways..it was a few races between two fast *** street cars, and a very close outcome between both. Im not sweating it....Will has 8sec timeslips in his hand to prove how fast that Supra went, just gotta get some for the Trans Am!

Nice build!

You don't think you're maxed out on the hot side of those turbos at that power level through that drivetrain ??

Im sure its getting close...I think once we get the new dyno software to read above 1200rw, and set the boost around 23 or 24pounds...it should make alittle over 1300rw...and im sure they will be done at that point. We ran it up to 25 pounds last night before we realized it was spinning on the dyno! Couldn't figure out why power was shifting between 1100 and 1170 no mater what boost or timing I put in the motor. Atleast we figured out what was up..and the customer was happy to make the power and torque that it did. Rpm's stage 5 4l80 is holding strong, 220lb injectors are at around 70% duty cycle with 2 Weldon Pumps...and IATS started out at 68 degrees, and at the end of the run with 20pounds...they only went up to 75 degrees!
