I've had quite a few things happen since I last posted in the thread, but so far the best et I have is on 9lbs in the 1/4 10.23@135mph. I have since raised the boost to 20lbs. I did that and went on a tnt night at the local 1/8 and destroyed the trans. I took it out and found out that I only burnt some clutches. I had it rebuilt and went back out and tried launching at 3000rpm and 3300rpm and couldn't get enough boost off the line, 4.5lbs at that level. So i bought a wet kit and I'm installing it now. I also bought some AFR 210 heads, DA versashocks for the front, adjustable lower a arms, and a manual rack. I also installed a 10pt cage over the past winter. I had it weighed when I went to the 1/4 track and it was 3525 with me in it.

Here's some pics:

I've got a few things that I'm going to try with the tune and leave at a higher rpm to get more boost off of the line. The ultimate goal is to run in the 8's.

It should do that with ease at 20lbs of boost. My race weight wasn't far off yours and I went a best of 9.13 with only 15lbs. of boost.....that was leaving on 5 lbs. off the brake.

What chamber are on those AFR 210's? Did I read that you were able to leave on 4.5 lbs. of boost? If that's correct than you are leaving about where I normally did......was able to 60' in the 1.3x range with that. Tried leaving on more once and the car went skyward.

Your 347 numbers at 9 lbs. isn't far off of what my 402 did at that level. I was trapping around 140 at 10 lbs.

But the difference is the 60'. On that 4.5lbs I think the best was low 1.6's. I'm going to get it down.

The AFR's that I bought are 66cc's. I forgot that I also picked up a bigger cam, I will install that with the heads and make sure I have sufficient PTV clearance. This will all be over the winter.

I got the DA versashocks on, i'm going to have to raise them up. There's no way I'll get my car on my trailer with it this low, but I love the look.

I adjusted the height, put the a arms on, and got the purge solenoid wired up and working. I have to put on the manual rack, but I'm not sure how to route the belt so that it wraps around the water pump as well

Also welded up my buddies intercooler pipes

Time for some winter changes.
-Custom turbo cam from Martin
-Better sized turbos, Turbonetics 6665's
-Install manual rack and pinion
-AFR 210's

I pulled everything off in to do the heads/cam turbo swap. Ran into a problem and stripped the cam retainer plate threads. All because I'm retarded. So, to fix it I helicoiled them. In the process of doing the last one, which happened to be the bottom one, I didn't realize it wasn't a blind hole like the other three. So now the motor has to come out to verify no metal shavings went down into any crevices. I'm 90% sure that I got all the shavings since I had a grease on the tap which all the shavings stuck to. Also the drill didn't go all the way through, there's a spot for it to stop with a smaller hole. However, I really don't want to take that chance so the motor's coming out.

cam retainer plate threads fixed, torqued down:
