Default 98camarod's twin turbo build

I have found some new motivation to start and finish this build. I had to accelerate a little in the G8 GT that we have and my daughter was in the back seat. The only thing I heard was her screaming, "GO! GO! GO! GO!" I'm sure the Camaro will be a bit much, but that GT is SLOW!

-forged 347 with some worked over 317 heads with about 9:1
-kytp twin tc78 truck manifold kit
-meth
-th400 with brake
-ford 9" with 3.25's
-dual walbro's, -8 feed, -6 return, aeromotive boost ref reg
-80lb SD's

I sold my ls6 intake and I'm looking to get a fast 90 or 92 setup. I'm working on the fuse box relocation now. I've got the a/c delete panel made up and mounted. I've cut the unnecessary metal out of the engine bay and removed the stock fuel lines.

I relocated my two fuse boxes on my camaro to inside the car where the passenger airbag used to be. It would be a better place to keep water from getting on them. If you would like I can provide pics.

Looks good so far!

I'm not worried about that, thanks though. It will be garaged once the motor and trans get in there.

I bought the primer yesterday to prime the engine bay. I'll paint it and then throw the motor and trans back in there.

Can't wait to see what the 76's do in the 347. Good luck man!

I hope you are changing the charge pipes. Where the fuse boxes were relocated to, will be in the way for sure. You will have a 2.5" and a 3" pipe going through there.

Edit: It may work but it will be tight.

I didn't realize the 2.5" went through there as well. I seen that the 3" goes right next to the frame rail, so we'll see. If I have to, I'll cut more **** out so I don't have to mess with the wiring again.

I've probably got a good solid 4 hours of soldering in it and I'm at 27/40 wires.

I do to. I hope I don't have any problems once it's done. I'll be screwed.

I'll get an overview shot once it's done there. It should be wide open where I cut away. So I don't see why they wouldn't fit.

It wouldn't hurt to mock it all up to make sure it fits before getting it painted. It is a very tight fit.

I would have gone with the headers, but I don't have the money for those right now.

I got the extensions finished up today. I've got to find some wire loom to go around it and some hold downs as well. I need to find where to cut on the passenger side so I can have that done already.

I routed the fuel lines up the engine bay. I'll probably have to adjust them once the down pipes are routed. I also got some filler in to cover up some holes.

I would temp connect the wires to make sure that everything works before soldering and heatshrinking everything.

Aluminum foil also works for covering stuff for paint and cheaper.

Looking good!

Might be better just to drop the front before you spray it. I taped the crap out of mine and still had over spray on my suspension.

I'm going to drop it and roll it into the garage. I taped it mainly to avoid scraping it when I was installing it. I used old towels as well and still got a couple scrapes on there.

Did some more work. I've never welded steel, so that was interesting. I've never sprayed anything aside from using a rattle can, so that was interesting as well. The whole house smells like paint, it's awesome hahaha. I'm going to get the paint and clear tomorrow and spray it this weekend. Then I'll put the ol' engine and trans back in this bitch and get it going!
