Thanks Guys for all Your support, Heads stayed together so far. We did mess with the tune still pretty rich seems likt the more we clean it up the more power its making. Were gonna have about 2 more runs befroe its perfect. Then were gonna turn it way up. Got to be competitive for Holley fest. Only 25lbs of boost so far!!!

You gonna have to pull those heads. Something is either wrong with the gaskets or the heads. Is the tune more to the aggressive side or is it still conservative? Where is your timing at? Do you have any of your last few runs datalogged?

Ant , I told you why the gaskets are gone this time . Car blow the tires off about 60 -80 ft out and hit the rev limiter and went big bang out the exhaust .

We made 20 passes on those gaskets and we only had signs of water seepage. Now after we banged it off the rev limiter theres a **** ton of water in the holes .

Just have a smoke and then set the rev limiter at 10,000.

That'll do it. Might want to move that limiter down a bit. I was also curious as to whether or not you are retorquing the heads with the copper gaskets? I've heard that is necessary after a full heat cycle, all be it a huge pain in the *** unless that heat cycle was on an engine dyno.

Steve's car has made many 7.8-8.0 passes on the Fel Pro Head Gaskets and no o-ring @ 3650 race weight.

I have been hearing good things about the Fel-Pro MLS head gaskets. I know David Childress (Mightymouse) uses them also.

IT's not the head gaskets, back fires, torque process, or any other silly thing. I have a feeling when the motor is torn down and speced out he'll find the problem. A LOT of people are makeing a ton of passes on the six bolt set up without blowing gaskets every 6-8 runs @ 25 lbs of boost! Somethings off with that motor. He blows more gasket than I did with my 408 iron block and that's saying something from the "blown head gasket director". LOL Somethings not right in the motor.

What in the bottom end would cause headgaskets to push water? I would guess that maybe the deck on the heads is not true. Did they get decked after the first time he lifted the heads? I am just asking these questions out of curiousity, not to question your theory.

Yeah theres something wrong in the motor all right Its called DETONATION !! Thats the only thing wrong with it !

And just for the record we had 20 passes on those gaskets with no problems , Until we banged it off the rev limiter .

On inital check pistons were hitting the heads. That was repaired. I know the install on the o rings is critical! Not sure. Why is he the only guy blowing head gaskets like crazy on a LSX six bolt set up???? We run the same fuel, timing file, A/f ratio well he's a little richer than I am. I NEVER pushed one drop of water since I put the LSX in and I'm 200 lbs heavier and have been faster than him.
