Default What turbo

Hey guys I am building an LQ4 Single turbo setup for my 99 c5. Here is the link to my build thread.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...l#post15323875

Now just humor me on this, but it must be a Precision Turbo. What is the best turbo for me? Next year I plan on going to a forged block and alot of boost. I was thinking something in the T76 range would be good but Im not sure really.

Thoughts?

I don't know if I'll get yelled at for posting this link, but here is a good place to start.

I've had my eye on this one personally for a while...http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street...GT42-Style/282

Although this one is a lot cheaper and is the ol' stand by as far as making good power at the track and on the street goes...http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street...ger---PT88/283

I thought about the PT88 as it would fit my budget pretty well. But seems pretty big

It's not too big. Pt88 with 364 cubes is a perfect match. Just like a 347 and 7675 is a good match. Pt88 is the same thing as a 7675 just with a 88mm compressor.

9.17 @ 151 on 18lbs of boost from the 76GTS (same as 7675) from a 347. NicD said the turbo is about maxed here. Jose from ForcedInductions made I think 990 rwhp with a 76GTS on a 355 LT1, thats the highest I've ever heard from a v8.

Wonder if the Borg 80mm would be close? Been looking at those and debating between single or twin for my set up. I keep going back and forth on it. Any idea what size injectors he was using?

+1 PT88 is perfect for 364ci I went with ST80 1.15ar on my 347ci now I'm thinking about T4 91 with 376ci

So it seems that a PT88 is what most people are leaning towards.

Does everybody agree that the 6765 is too small for a 364ci?

Two of them no, one is ridiculously too small.

And my statement about the pt88 being the same as a 7675 was wrong. PT88 has a 93mm turbine wheel or a 87.

Still leaning towards twin 66mm for my 325 ci motor. Although a big t6 88 or 91 has me thinking!
