some friends and I are all thinking about throwing a $1000-1500 each at a s10(already has rear end and stuff) and just seeing how fast we can go...

I want to go w/ a 408+ and a few stages of nitrous b/c I'm pretty sure we could come up w/ used parts cheap and not spend a whole bunch of money on the whole build.

so they want to do a 76ish turbo and a blow thru set up on e85.

I truly LOVE a turbo setup but I'm trying to stay around the $5K-$6K range, considering we already have a handful of parts between the crowd.... our biggest money will be the shortblock either way.

and when the truck is done and we're satiesfied w/ a decent number out of it I want to throw everything we can at it an see how long it will hold up.

5.3 stock bottom end with good rod bolts, head studs, with 317s, a z06 came and a twin setup with cheap ebay turbos .... Keep it efi and use methanol .... I between one of your friends has a meth kit that he's not gonna used on his 370

Get its going cheap with ebay **** and then upgrade as necessary or as you win money .... I just dint see the necessity in a forged bottom end budget community build
