Rod he's just kicking up dust.
Don't sweat it, we know what's what.
If he wants something special we will build it to suit his needs.

There's quite a few flaws in that type of system to market to the general public.

Just to mention a few......
Relocating a battery is added time and expense to the project.
Deleting the coolant resevoir isn't recommended on a street car especially with A/C.
Nowhere in that thread shows installed and functioning A/C
Nowhere does it show ground clearance from the crossover either.
Keep a open mind I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire just going to make a few statements. Very good questions that might or might not have good solutions to the issues raised. When you look at the list of concerns it's pretty small when you consider how tough it is to put a large turbo on these cars.

I don't think there's a single fabricator on this forum that has all the best solutions to a large turbo front mount. But every fabricator is bringing idea's that are only going to make the kits better.

My response that you are referring to was solely to point out why Rob and Chris have chosen this route. Not to discredit another sytem.

Those rods were welded there to support unfinished tack welded piping.
That K member is part of a jig assembly in the shop. Pictured below.

They are NOT part of the finished product.

I wouldn't expect anyone unfamiliar with metal working to know that, so I won't take that as an insult.

Tack welding an assembly before the final welding happens is a good way to easily reverse a mistake in case you decide you want to start over or change something. The weight of the turbo can not be supported by 2 little tack welds. Also the wastegate tube is obviously not even connected nor is there even a hole drilled for it yet.
Did you really think that we would leave it that way?????

Unfinished Product tack welded together during the design phase

Finished Product and no support rods

i would think mounting turbo in the corner would add a lot of stress to the exhaust.especialy with a large turbo . and under a load would bottom out on the apron .1/4 of movement of the engine is probaley at least 1 inch of movement at the turbo.theres only so much space in the corner and with the hood.and wheres the a/c theres no room for the dryer and or a/c lines you wold have to reto fit the dryer somewhere else and make new a/c lines .and as far a fasttimesss you are barking up the wrong tree these guys know what they are doing and i like that comment on the support brace for the mock up if you dont know what your talking about dont post anything at all

the previous pics are not the a/c kit. They are the basic kit that deletes the a/c.

We have got to get a quote from our hose company for the power steering hoses.
I should know something later this week.

How much weight does your TT kit add to the nose of the car? I'm not saying it isn't a good kit, but if people want simple, and want power, you can't touch a procharger.
$10k for upwards of a 1k hp. Sounds too easy! How could I get that kind of power with $10k?

Buy that Procharger, Add whatever you have to add to keep the belt from slipping and coming apart, then come back when you have how much it would cost to build something like his TT system vs a non belt slipping Procharger set up

I'm going to run a manual rack so no need for PS.

My stock idler is in the way of my passenger side wastegate.

I really like that PS relocation bracket. It adds quite a bit of space.

Stay tuned, there is more to come!
I have this one mapped out already, it's going to be cool as a welfare check.

If we have time there will be 4 more kits before we take on another car.

The next car will be the new 5.0 liter Mustang or new 5th gen.

I'm not a Ford guy but that new 5.0 Mustang is impressive.
