Yes here is an update:

We just finished up the Cooling Fan relocation.
This shroud will be included in the kit.
You cut out you stock fans and rivet them to our new shroud.

it looks like it just offsets the fans so that one sits higher?

not too keen on cutting up my fan shroud, but if the v6 cars use this same setup I could find a salvage yard set to hack up.

nice work so far guys, I know it's a TIGHT fit in there.

In stock form the driver's fan is low and the passenger's fan is high.
We just reversed the layout to make room for the air intake duct.

The fans are no closer to the radiator than they were in stock form.

After all that we still needed to notch the shroud to clear the 90* intake duct.

Actually that part was my idea.

Chris came up with the idea to rotate the fans.
I came up with using the stock fans by cutting them out, re-positioning, and riveting them to the new shroud.
I wanted to avoid requiring aftermarket fans so we could keep costs down and the stock fans work SOOOOOO welll I didn't want to remove them.

It's a good one if it is, note the reflection of the wire harness.

It's just the trim where it connects to the turbo I think that makes it look like that.

You had to notch the trim around one of the fans ya mean? I think I can see that notch in the pic.

Yes, just a small notch in the driver's side fan shroud.

Rob saved you guy's about $400.00 on the price of the kit.

I had my mind made up, I was going to use two 11" Spal paddle blade fans.
They retail for about $189.00 each and that is not including the extra $ for a plug and
play hardness.

Rob talked me into trying it, I'm glad I did, it worked out perfect.
Now we don't have to talk about CFM, AMP draw, will they work with the factory
two speed system or any of that stuff.

Horay Rob!
Been there done that with the Spal's minus a shroud though and they didn't cut the mustard, maybe with a shroud they would have.
In any case using the factory fans = lots of WIN!

I'm wondering if this will work with my procharger, I'd like to be able to use my stock fans too. How far from the bottom of the rad support to the bottom of the fan on the driver side?

stealth355tpi Here are some pic's that may help you.
I took a few of the turbo placement to give you an idea of were it is in relation
to the fan.

Hope this helps you.
